The moment Stacey Dash, the actress, and former Fox News commentator, was arrested by Florida sheriff’s deputies. The arrest was captured via a police body camera.
Dash was asked what her profession was, and she replied that she appeared in movies and TV.
“What are you doing?” Dash asks through sniffles as a Pasco County deputy tells her to turn around before placing handcuffs on her.
“I'll tell you in a second, I’m just detaining you for right now,” the officer says in the clip.
“Am I being arrested?” the 52-year-old asked the officer.
In the video, the officer is heard making small talk with Dash, asking about what she does.
“I’m an actress,” Dash responds. “I did a film called ‘Clueless.”
Dash then says that she is “taking a break” from acting.
“I did politics for a while. I was a Fox News contributor,” she says. “Oh, OK. Pretty cool,” the officer says.
The officer then says that he is from “upstate New York” after she replies that she is from the Bronx.
The video then shows an officer searching her before she got into the police cruiser.
According to TMZ, Dash’s representative, Nick Terry, said that the report about her being choked by her husband was “untruthful.” A 911 call obtained by the news outlet includes Dash speaking with a dispatcher, saying that she was assaulted by her husband and claimed his 15-year-old daughter got into her face and started the altercation.
The report stated that Dash allegedly slapped and pushed Marty in the Sunday night incident. When officers arrived, they saw scratches on his arm.
Dash is best known for her work in the film “Clueless” and later, she worked as a Fox News contributor until 2016.
Other details about the alleged incident are not clear.
