There are a lot of ways to celebrate Halloween, and different businesses have tried a lot of different promotions, competing to capture the attention—and send a chill up the spines—of potential customers.

Six Flags St. Louis has The Fright Fest 30-Hour Coffin Challenge … well it’s pretty self-explanatory.

The St. Louis branch of the famous amusement park is offering two gold season passes for the 2019 season, a Fright Fest prize package, and $300 cash to anyone who can undergo a simple, but scary ordeal—spending 30 hours in a coffin.

Oh, and winners get to keep the coffin, too.

And it is a real coffin—no cardboard mock-up. The 2-foot by 7-foot coffin comes straight from the undertaker.

The challenge is pretty simple: the contestants must remain inside the coffin for 30 hours, from 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14.

Six Flags St. Louis will provide the coffins—plus food and beverages, and snacks, all of which must be consumed inside the coffin—and a phone charger, so the contestants can stay connected.

The temporary coffin-dwellers can have a friend stay nearby while the park is open, but once it closes for the night, the contestants are alone.

Well, not completely alone. According to Six Flags St. Louis, coffin-dwellers might be subject to unannounced visits from the Fright Fest Freaks, who will be “lurking about in the darkness.”

Oh, and they get six minutes per hour for bathroom breaks. Anyone who leaves the coffin at any other time will be immediately disqualified.

One thing that isn’t clear—does the coffin have to be closed?

In the event that more than one person makes it through the full 30 hours, there would be a drawing for the $300 prize. Everyone who makes it the full duration will win the season passes and Fright Fest package.

Oh, and Six Flags won’t provide quite everything—contestants are advised to bring their own sleeping bags and pillows.

If this sounds like an exciting way to spend a weekend, contact the park, located in Eureka, Missouri, right away. Registration for the event closes on Oct. 4. Only six contestants will be chosen, so get your name on the list right away. And of course—you can register online.

Contestants who are chosen have to confirm by Oct. 6. If they fail, another contestant will be chosen—so if you don’t make the first cut, don’t give up hope.
