During a recent summer trip, Salma Hayek was told that she was going to the spa, however her husband surprised her with a touching vow renewal ceremony on the beach.

Hayek posted several sweet pictures of her unusual trip on Aug. 28 on her Instagram page, showing her wearing a sleeveless short red dress and flip-flops and looking very happy.

For one photo she wrote, “The summer is coming to an end and my best moment was when my husband surprised me with a vow renewal - it was not what I would have chosen to wear to my wedding but I was told I was going to the spa! #luckyinlove #wedding.”

Even though she didn’t pile on a lot of makeup or wear a fancy gown, she still looked beautiful and radiant. Their 10-year-old daughter Valentina also appeared on one of the pictures.

There was also an interesting light flare on the left-hand side of the lovely couple in another photo.

“Can anyone explain to me what the ray of colored light in the photo could be?” Hayek asked her followers on Instagram.

Some of the cute answers included: “Love bubble. Soul fusion,” “It’s God’s rays of blessing,” and “It’s your love aura.”

The lovely couple was married in Paris on Valentine’s Day in 2009. They had another ceremony in Venice, Italy just a few months later.

Hayek was born in Mexico on Sep. 2, 1966, where she became famous for her role in a popular soap opera “Teresa” in 1989. However, she chose to leave Mexico in 1991 and go to Hollywood, where she struggled to find decent acting jobs until she got her break in “Desperado” in 1995.

Even though she is dyslexic and has ADHD, Hayek is considered to be strong and talented woman.

After she became a successful actress, she produced and starred in her dream role of Frida Kahlo, the legendary Mexican painter, and she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in 2002 for the part. She was the first Latina actress to be included in such category.
