Sources said that Disney Star Cameron Boyce died in his sleep and suffered from epilepsy,
reported TMZ.
Boyce, who appeared in “Grown Ups” and “Descendents,” suffered from a fatal seizure over the weekend, according to the report.
His roommate found him unresponsive. When paramedics arrived, they couldn’t revive him.
TMZ reported that he had been dealing with seizures triggered by epilepsy.
Meanwhile, sources in law enforcement told the website that he died a “natural death.”
His family issued a statement about Boyce’s death over the weekend, saying he died of a seizure.
“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated," Boyce’s family told
news outlets. “The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.”
A family spokesperson added in the statement: “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
