“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice’s daughters are appealing to President Donald Trump for help to stop their father from being deported to Italy after his appeal was denied earlier this month.
Milania Giudice, 14, has taken to social media to ask the president for help to stop the deportation of Joe Giudice, who is currently being held at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Pennsylvania since being released from prison.
“We will never stop fighting for you daddy. It’s not the same without you. I miss you terribly. I wouldn’t be the person I am today with out you, I wouldn’t know how to stay strong. I need you home daddy. All I want is to be a family again. I love you endlessy buddy??#freejoegiudice @realdonaldtrump,” Milania Giudice wrote in her Instagram post that was accompanied by a throwback photo of her and her father.
Giudice, whose real name is Giuseppe, was sentenced to a 41-month prison sentence for fraud charges and was released from federal prison on March 14. In October last year, an immigration court ruled that Joe Giudice is to return to his native Italy. The 46-year-old reality television star then filed an appeal in November, which was denied in April this year.
On the same day, Milania reposted an Instagram plea asking for Trump to intervene with the deportation.
“My mother and father have fought tirelessly to pay back every single penny of restitution to court deemed they owe. They have made a mistake but rectified it through serving time and by financially satisfying all that was owed,” she wrote on the petition website.
“My father is there for us in every possible way a father could be. He has always been our handyman, our confidant, our cheerleader, our challenger and most importantly our protector.
“We request that our President, Donald J Trump review our petition and pardon my father to relieve him of this life sentence the courts are bestowing on him, yes in Italy he will no longer be incarcerated but will he ever be free if kept from his family and be able to be a productive member of society?” she added.
The petition has so far reached over 30,000 signatures out of its 35,000 signature goal.
“We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court Of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters,” he said.
The president has not yet responded to the appeal.
