The family of actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who died on Wednesday at the age of 39, have objected to an autopsy, the New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner said on Thursday.
Paramedics responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.
No foul play was suspected and the New York Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death, the spokesperson said.
Trachtenberg’s family objected to an autopsy, according to the NYC’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Because there was no evidence of criminality, the medical examiner’s office honored the objection, limiting its findings.
The cause and manner of her death are listed as undetermined and an investigation remains ongoing.
“The family requests privacy for their loss,” Trachtenberg’s representative, Gary Mantoosh, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Born on Oct. 11, 1985, in New York City, Trachtenberg began her acting career at an early age, appearing in commercials when she was just 3 years old, according to her IMDb biography.
She was eight when she landed a recurring role as Nona Mecklenberg on Nickelodeon’s “The Adventures of Pete & Pete,” appearing on the show from 1994 to 1996.
