“Little House on the Prairie” star Katherine “Scotty” MacGregor, who played Harriet Oleson on the show, died at the age of 93 on Nov. 14, it was reported.

The “Today“ show and People magazine confirmed her death. She died in Woodland Hills, California.

Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder on the series, paid tribute to the actress.

“She was outspoken and hilariously funny. A truly gifted actress as she was able to play a despicable character but with so much heart. Her Harriet Oleson was the woman our fans loved to hate. A perfect antagonist,” she wrote on Instagram. “The thing people outside of our prairie family didn’t know, was how loving and nurturing she was with the younger cast.”

Gilbert added: “I really loved her and I find great comfort knowing that she is at peace,” according to an Instagram post.

Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Oleson, said the actress “had an extremely long and full life and is at peace ... we will all miss her.”

She also had guest roles on shows like “All in the Family” and “Ironside.” But she was best known for her “Little House” role.

“Anyone that mean has to be a fool,” MacGregor told NBC about her character. “So I began mixing farce into it.” MacGregor said she was trying not to make the character totally “black-and-white mean.”

In her later years, MacGregor moved to the Motion Picture Fund Long Term Nursing Care building in Woodland Hills, People magazine reported.
