Lady Gaga Surprises California Evacuation Center With Pizza And Coffee

Singer Lady Gaga visited a California fire shelter to donate pizza and coffee this week.

“I’m on my way now to a shelter in California to be with people who have evacuated their homes. It’s one of my acts of kindness for today and I encourage you to do the same,” Gaga said, according to ETOnline on Nov. 13.

She was also forced to evacuate from her own home amid the Woolsey Fire, she said.

The singer posted a photo of herself carrying 11 boxes of pizza. “Fresh hot pizza, coffee, and gift cards for the shelter,” she said.

The 32-year-old also stated: “Thank you to the Red Cross for all you are doing to provide shelter, love, and mental health support to the people of California.”

“I’m so grateful. I love you and God bless you to all the firefighters and first responders who continue fighting this fire,” she also wrote on Twitter. “You risk your lives for us, and I’m so humbled by your bravery. You are our heroes.”

The death toll from several fires in California jumped to 50 on Nov. 13.

The Woolsey Fire has burned 97,114 acres and is 40 percent contained. Two people have died, and 370 structures were destroyed, CBS News reported.

The Camp Fire has been far more destructive, destroying the entire small city of Paradise, California, and burning 130,000 acres. Forty-eight people have died.
