Dozens of beauty brands are coming together in solidarity with a newly formed initiative in an effort to give back to the victims of the California wildfires.

In recent days, beauty mogul and California native Josie Maran, best known for her Argan Oil-powered skin and body care, took matters into her own hands by rallying over 30 brands in forming the charity “Beauty Together.”
“When disaster strikes, people are beautiful and heroic,” Maran told People magazine on Jan. 16.

Participating brands include: Biossance, FORVR Mood, Goop, Grande Cosmetics Haus Labs By Lady Gaga, Henry Rose, Huda Beauty, Ilia Beauty, Iris & Romeo, Kayali, Lawless Beauty, Milk Makeup, Nécessaire, RŌZ Hair, Saie, SAINT JANE, Salt & Stone, Skylar Clean Beauty, Tatcha, Tower 28, Youth to the People, YSE Beauty and more.

Effective immediately with cash donations, all proceeds will be going directly to those impacted by the most destructive fires in Los Angeles history, through the 2025 Wildfire Relief Fund.
“Following the devastating L.A. wildfires, Josie and her family decided to commit their time and her brand’s resources to raising money for fire victims. Josie invited other beauty brands to join,” read the charities mission.

The campaign is not only geared toward those in the beauty industry, community members can also get involved with making a donation and are not required to make any beauty product purchases.

“Beauty Together helps families with direct cash donations ... participating brands will proudly donate a percentage of sales and community members can also make direct donations.”

Further, the campaign plans to offer sustained support to victims through charitable service providers and other initiatives and brands in hopes of assisting the long road of rebuilding ahead.

Despite the immense partnership, each brand can determine the size of its donation, but Maran reaffirms 100 percent of her sales will be going toward donations.

Maran felt compelled to spearhead “Beauty Together” after calling Los Angeles home for so many years, but primarily when walking her daughters via phone through evacuation efforts from their Runyon Canyon home.

“It’s torture for a mother not to be able to be in control of a situation, smoke alarms are going off, I can see orange flashing on their faces, and I’m like, ‘Just run,'” she told People.

Her daughters and their home are safe, and since then Maran has opened up her home to family and friends who have lost their homes and do not have a place to stay.

Meanwhile, YSE Beauty Founder, Molly Sims, who is one of the many brands who joined “Beauty Together,” tells Forbes that while L.A. is also her home, the initiative goes far beyond herself, focusing more on community and restoration efforts.

“The heartache I feel for this city can only be matched by the pride, awe and gratitude I have for this extraordinary place and the people at its heart,” she said.

“For myself, my team and everyone involved, this fund is just one of the ways we can wrap our arms around our community. To hold tight to what remains and help restore what’s been lost.”

“Beauty Together” joins a growing list of beauty, fashion and home brand companies that are supporting fire relief efforts, using their own methods of donating, but primarily gearing proceeds toward other charitable organizations.
