“Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner posted a new hairstyle just days after the finale of the hit HBO show.
It’s not clear whether the new hairstyle is a permanent move, or if she is trying to avoid being typecast as her character, Sansa Stark, in the show.
“The best she’s ever looked. So stunning!” said one fan.
“She looks amazing,” added another.
“The thing about Game of Thrones that’s always been amazing is the fact that there’s always been crazy twists and turns, right from Season 1 with Ned’s beheading,” she told the Times. “So Daenerys becoming something of the Mad Queen—it shouldn’t be such a negative thing for fans. It’s a shock for sure, but I think it’s just because it hasn’t gone their way.”
There has also been a circulating petition that describes the “Game of Thrones” writers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as “woefully incompetent” and seeks to get the final season redone.
Turner said the petition is “disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season. Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful,” according to the Times.
It comes a few days after “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams debuted a new look after the series finale.
The 22-year-old actress revealed a fresh blond dye job or perhaps a wig on Instagram, generating more than 1.5 million “likes” in a mere few hours.
Her beloved character, Arya Stark, whom she has been portraying for the past eight seasons is a brunette.
It’s also not clear if the hairstyle change is an attempt to avoid being typecast as her character, who is a brunette in the show.
