Life can get pretty hectic for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but throughout his busy Hollywood schedule, the actor has learned that taking care of yourself is paramount.

In an Instagram video posted on Nov. 2, the 52-year-old shared his thoughts on keeping himself grounded and easing his mind, especially when embracing new projects.
“Sitting quietly as the sun rises—to recharge, settle my mind before I leave for tour and the madness begins. The world is loud and noisy, and pulls at us from a million different directions,” he wrote in the video’s caption.

“Find your anchor that helps you recalibrate your soul and protect it at all cost. After all these years I’ve finally learned the importance of self care. Be good to yourselves, protect your anchor, and have a great weekend,” he continued.

Johnson was gearing up to head to Berlin, Germany for the world premiere of his new movie “Red One” alongside costar’s Chris Evans, Lucy Liu and J.K. Simmons, before embarking on a media press tour for the production.
The Christmas film follows the story of the North Pole’s head of security (Johnson), who teams up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) in hopes of saving Santa Claus (Simmons) after he was kidnapped.

In his social media post, the former WWE wrestler gave fans a glimpse of his rural home, showing his view every morning as he watches the sunrise over farmland

“So peaceful up here. I love coming up here, I'll just sit up here for 30, 45 minutes, sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Just recharge man, and sit in silence,” he said before panning his camera in the video.

“Maybe I‘ll turn some music on, maybe I’ll start singing, there’s a bunch of bald eagles who fly around here too, and they’re like ‘Please stop singing’ ... This is my, one of my anchors. Gotta protect your anchors,” he continued.

In protecting your anchor, Johnson understands that being in the public eye opens the door to constructive criticism, including for projects like “Red One.”

The action-packed holiday film is already being met with mixed reviews from those who attended early screenings.

Some offered praise for the movie’s festive spirit as the holiday season fast approaches, while others criticized every aspect of the production including its writing, visuals, and chemistry between the lead actors.

“RED ONE is one of the most ridiculous Christmas movies I’ve ever seen,” wrote one critic via X.
“GUYS! I had a BLAST with #RedOneMovie !! It’s funny, full of great action and even better characters. In a time when we truly need some good cheer in this world,” disputed another.

Johnson has starred in a number of on-screen hits such as “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, “Jumanji,” Disney’s “Moana,” and television roles like the HBO series “Ballers.”

Meanwhile, “Red One” is set to hit theaters across the nation on Nov. 15.
