Disney Drops Bid to Dismiss Wrongful Death Lawsuit

The company reversed course on its motion for arbitration dispute after theme park patron dies from allergic reaction at resort restaurant last year.

The Walt Disney Co. has withdrawn its bid to dismiss a wrongful death lawsuit brought forward by a Florida widower over the death of his wife.

The company filed the motion on Aug. 20 in an Orange County court, after initially asking a judge to dismiss the suit and settle any disputes with the company out of court via arbitration.
