British singer-songwriter Joss Stone’s family just got a little bigger.

Only weeks after Stone and her husband, Cody DaLuz, revealed they had adopted a baby boy named Bear, the 37-year-old Grammy-winning vocalist announced she was pregnant.

“Honestly. Shocked was an understatement,” Stone shared via Instagram on Dec. 19.

“Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed!!!! Maybe we should call the ‘less is more tour the preggo tour,'” she said.

“Life comes at you quick,” DaLuz wrote in a separate Instagram Story. “Baby 4 on the way.”

The comment section of Stone’s post was inundated with celebratory messages from her friends, fans, and followers.

“Best Christmas Ever!” said musical artist Antonia Jenae.

“Holy moly. When it rains, it pours! Congrats to even more love in your life!” wrote former fashion model Paulina Porizkova.

“Congratulations, dear Joss,” echoed talent booking manager Ana Pinto Ribeiro. “Another lucky baby on the way.”

“Fantastic! Happy for you, honey!!!” said fellow British singer Beverley Knight.

‘Dreams Do Come True’

Stone and DaLuz, who were married in the fall of 2023, announced the arrival of their third child—via adoption—on Dec. 2.
“This is what happened to us last Monday. We can not quite believe it. We are in love big time with this little guy,” Stone captioned an Instagram video.

“The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him, and the same goes for Bear. Honestly, bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve,” the singer continued.

“It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly. We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle. ... Please welcome our gorgeous baby boy to this wonderful world.”

Stone chronicled the couple’s adoption journey in the three-minute-long video, from documenting the moment they picked Bear up from the hospital to introducing him to their two other children, 3-year-old daughter Violet and 2-year-old son Shackleton.

Bear, who was born almost three months prematurely, had to spend over a month in the neonatal intensive care unit.

“These are the ladies that looked after him for the first 36 days of his life. So much love in this hospital. Thank God for all of these beautiful angels,” Stone wrote alongside pictures of the nurses who cared for Bear after he was born.

“Forever grateful to his tummy mummy for giving him life and more selfless love than I thought was possible,” she said. “Turns out dreams do come true.”

Stone told Hello! Magazine, in a Dec. 16 interview, that Bear was “the best Christmas gift ever.”

“What’s crazy is that we brought him home the night before Thanksgiving. So we woke up in the morning with our son—and that is something to be thankful for.”

“He’s a very special, precious little guy, and we have to protect him until he is big enough to go out into this big bad world.”

Motherhood Journey

In January 2021, Stone and DaLuz announced the birth of their first child, Violet, who was delivered via C-section.
“She’s the prettiest thing in the world,” DaLuz said in a Facebook video at the time. “I’ve got the two most beautiful girls in the entire world. How lucky am I?”

Then, after suffering a miscarriage, Stone went on to welcome their second child, Shackleton, in October 2022.

Speaking to People the following month, the “Super Duper Love” singer recounted her son’s harrowing birth, including being in labor for more than 30 hours.

“[Shackleton’s] heartbeat was at normal rate. And then all of a sudden, it just slowed down, massively slowed down. I thought, ‘Oh, that’s my baby. That’s not good,’” Stone recalled.

“He was coming down the birth canal, and when my uterus split, his head went into my abdomen and he went back up. They had to bring him back to breathing again.”

Stone had to undergo an emergency C-section.

She told the publication that she was incredibly grateful for the doctors and nurses who helped to safely deliver her baby.

“It was like having 15 angels fly into the room,” the singer recalled. “They were trying to make me feel comfortable. They were very nice and professional and made me feel safe.”
