Actress Ana de Armas joins a growing list of Hollywood stars who have left Los Angeles.

De Armas reflected on her decision to move to rural Vermont while speaking to “E! News” during the premiere of her new film “Eden” at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 7.

“We all want to have the chance to build your own safe space. I’ve made that decision myself. I found a home where I really feel off the grid,” she explained.

“I can collect myself and only bring there who I want to be with. I have my little cocoon there.”

The 36-year-old purchased the multi-million dollar property in November 2022 after living in Los Angeles for seven years.

Her home features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. and is reportedly surrounded by mountains, lush greenery, and open fields.

She noted there were many factors that contributed to her move, but primarily it was for her to “get away from the craziness of the world.”

Like many celebrities, de Armas faced challenges with the paparazzi and unwarranted spotlight specifically during the media frenzy surrounding her 2020 relationship with actor Ben Affleck.

Through her experiences, the “James Bond” star said she has learned when it’s best to step away and embrace change in life.

“You just feel it when it’s time to change,” she said. “Look out for yourself. There’s a time when you learn what’s good for you and what’s not. What serves you the most? Pay attention to that and take action.”

De Armas joins the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Biel and her husband Justin Timberlake, Sylvester Stallone, Candace Cameron Bure, and many others in leaving the Golden State.

The majority cited privacy issues with the paparazzi as well as hopes of creating a sense of normalcy for their families away from the spotlight.

De Armas rose to fame following her starring role in the 2019 film “Knives Out,” and has since held a number of notable film credits including “No Time to Die” and the Netflix production “Blonde” where she portrayed Marilyn Monroe.

The 2023 biopic earned her an Academy Award nomination for the first time, and despite moving out of Los Angeles, she said she will always feel connected to the city through the role.

“Marilyn is all over LA. Everywhere we went, all the locations, everywhere you go, she’s there,” she told E! back in march.

“Everyone has a story about her. So we definitely all felt her presence in the sense of that spiritual energy, and I think that definitely helped with the commitment and that willingness of everyone doing right by her and loving the process of making this movie even more.”

De Armas now stars in the new thriller “Eden” alongside Sydney Sweeney, which follows a group of people who turn their back to society and leave everything behind as they set their futures on the harsh landscape of the Galapagos.
