Alec and Hilaria Baldwin to Star in TLC Reality Show With Their 7 Children

Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, along with their seven children are getting their own reality show.

The couple, who wed in 2012, took to Instagram on Tuesday to give their followers a preview of the forthcoming unscripted series, set to debut on TLC sometime next year.

“We’ve got an exciting announcement to share! Coming in 2025…” they captioned the post. In the accompanying video, Mrs. Baldwin, 40, jokingly clarifies that they are not making a pregnancy announcement. “No, definitely not. We’re done having kids,” she says. “This is about our show.”

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild, and the crazy,” the 66-year-old actor continues. “Home is the place we love to be most.”

The video concludes with the husband-wife duo and their children—daughters Carmen Gabriela, 10; Maria Lucia Victoria, 3; and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 20 months; and sons Rafael Thomas, 8; Leonardo Ángel Charles, 7; Romeo Alejandro David, 6; and Eduardo Pao Lucas, 3—attempting to shout “we are the Baldwins” in unison.

“And we’re coming to TLC!” exclaims Mr. Baldwin, who also shares 28-year-old daughter, Ireland, with actress Kim Basinger. “God help you all!”

The Baldwins

The Baldwins welcomed their seventh child, Ilaria, in September 2022. Their sixth child, Maria Lucia, was born via surrogate in February 2021, arriving only five months after the birth of their fifth child, Eduardo.

“We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia,” Mrs. Baldwin wrote on Instagram in March 2021. “Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true.”

Mrs. Baldwin has been very open about her fertility journey, including her experiences with in-vitro fertilization and miscarriages she has suffered in the past, the latter of which she touched upon in an Instagram post shared in April 2021.

“It is #infertilityawarenessweek ...and while I am so blessed to have my babies, I have a few angels too. I had two miscarriages in a row in 2019–the second at 4 months. I was told ‘it’s just bad luck’...there is so much mystery why certain souls come into our lives and others do not,” she penned.

“We all have different fertility/infertility stories and there are so many ways we can become parents. Being a parent truly is caring in the deepest way for another soul...through that giving energy we nurture ourselves and fill the world with love. I am just as much a mother to my Angel babies as I am to the ones I can physically hold in my arms,” Mrs. Baldwin wrote.

“If you are struggling or have struggled—or will struggle, know that you are not alone...if it serves you, connect with others as you grieve,” she continued. “We are a mighty bunch who carry this heaviness in our hearts—and together we can lighten each other’s load through support and understanding.”

Upcoming ‘Rust’ Trial

The Baldwin family’s reality show announcement comes one month before the “30 Rock” actor is scheduled to go to trial after being indicted for involuntary manslaughter in the accidental fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who died on the set of the Western film “Rust” near Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Oct. 21, 2021.

During a rehearsal for the movie, a prop gun held by Mr. Baldwin—a lead actor and co-producer on the film—discharged a live round, killing the 42-year-old cinematographer and injuring the film’s director, Joel Souza. Mr. Baldwin, who pleaded not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter charge, has denied pulling the trigger, insisting that he only drew back the hammer on the firearm before the gun went off.

The day after the tragedy occurred, Mr. Baldwin issued a statement on X, formerly Twitter, via an account for his nonprofit organization, the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred,” the statement reads.

“I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family,” Mr. Baldwin continued in a separate post. “My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”

In May, New Mexico Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer rejected Mr. Baldwin’s request to have the criminal charge dismissed. The actor will stand trial next month, with jury selection slated for July 9. The trial will commence the following day and is expected to last until July 19. Mr. Baldwin faces a maximum of 18 months in prison if convicted.

The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed—who loaded the gun held by Mr. Baldwin—was sentenced to 18 months in prison in April after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter the month prior.
