“This is truly one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever had in my life,” said Maia Boyanova, a dentist who watched Shen Yun on Jan. 20. “It is truly, truly amazing. The performance is so good and so lively and so gracious as well, that you’re just speechless all the time.”
Attending the performance with Ms. Boyanova was dentist Sanda Boistean.
“I was also very impressed,” said Ms. Boistean. “Asian culture—especially Chinese culture—is very rich. To have it transmitted [into] art like dancing [and] music, it’s really amazing how they can … [evoke] so many emotions … We’re getting goosebumps.”
“The old instrument with just two strings—we really got to tears for that,” said Ms. Boistean. “We’re like, how amazing is that?”
“They’re speaking through colors, through costumes, through the gracious moves, through the music … you’re so transported into the legend, into the story that they wanted to share.”
