ANAHEIM, Calif.—The Year of the Tiger is filling Disney California Adventure with health and prosperity as the theme park celebrates Lunar New Year until February—bringing tributes to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures.

Live entertainment along with special surprises will be available throughout the park for parkgoers to enjoy, according to the Disneyland website.

Disney fans can catch a glimpse of character favorites from the animated movie “Mulan” including Mulan and her sidekick dragon, Mushu.

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession will happen multiple times throughout the day for spectators to enjoy. The show is accompanied by multiple drummers and dancers bringing the spirit of the Lunar New Year to life.

Raya from the Disney film “Raya and the Last Dragon” will make a first-time appearance for the Lunar New Year celebrations. Raya can be found at the Paradise Gardens Gazebo.

Other beloved characters such as Tigger, Mickey, Minnie, and the Three Little Pigs will also be making surprise appearances in Lunar New Year apparel.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the celebrations by ordering multiple Asian cuisines offered throughout the park.

The theme park is offering a special Sip and Savor Pass that provides six redeemable coupons for food and beverages at participating Lunar New Year vendors.

Participating eateries include Longevity Noodle Co., Lucky 8 Lantern, Prosperity Bao & Buns, and Red Dragon Spice Traders, according to Disney Parks Blog.

Festive decorations, including cultural flowers, will also be on display for special photo opportunities.

Park-goers can take advantage of kid-friendly special crafts and activities to honor the tradition and celebrations.

Before leaving, special apparel and products commemorating the New Year will be sold while supplies last, including t-shirts, mugs, Minnie ears, and pins.
