A coal mine collapse in southwestern China has trapped 14 miners, according to Chinese state media.
State broadcaster CCTV reported that the Sanhe Shunxun coal mine in Guizhou Province had 14 people initially identified as trapped.
The location where the roof collapse occurred is 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) away from the mine entrance, and the area of the collapse is large.
The trapped people were in the middle section of the collapse-approximately 75 meters (246 feet) from the mine entrance.
China’s coal mines are among the world’s deadliest, regularly suffering explosions and gas leaks.
