“It impacts millions of individuals across the country when it comes to medical debt. A woman who had an emergency medical service at a hospital thought she had paid her bill. However, she later discovered that the debt, which she believed had been paid, was reported to a credit agency due to an error in coding. This affected her ability to get a loan,” says Senator Limón.
