Woman Tries to Kidnap Boy at LA Target Store

Police are searching for a woman who tried to kidnap a 4-year-old boy at a Target store Feb. 25 in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.

The incident occurred at about 12:40 p.m. in the Target at 620 S. Virgil Ave. in Koreatown, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The woman grabbed the boy, then took him outside. She put him down when confronted by one of the boy’s parents and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a 40-year-old Black woman, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, according to police.

She was wearing a brown jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black-and-white shoes, police say.
