The fight went on for two minutes during which time no one intervened, the victim’s mother, who gave her name only as Jazmin, told local news outlet KTLA.

Jazmin said when she picked up her daughter, she had bruises on her face and clumps of hair falling out.

“I couldn’t even watch the full video,” she said. “It was really hard. I just thank God that my daughter’s alive.”

After Jazmin took her daughter to a hospital, she filed a police report, according to KTLA.

The news outlet reported police said they were conducting an investigation, and that the attacker could face misdemeanor charges.

A spokesperson for the Riverside Police Department was also not immediately available for comment.

Jazmin also contacted administrators to see if the attacker would be expelled, but said administrators said they couldn’t tell her anything.

A spokesperson for the Alvord Unified School District was not immediately available for comment.

However, Jazmin said she decided to pull her daughter from the school following the incident.

“I want to see justice,” she said. “I want justice to be served for my daughter because I feel like it’s another fight and they’re brushing everything under the rug.”
