Police arrested a suspect in the alleged attempted kidnapping of a 4-year-old boy in a Koreatown Target store on Feb. 25.

The Los Angeles Police Department identified the woman on Feb. 29 as Vanessa Yara Pineda, 27, of Los Angeles.

The woman allegedly grabbed the child inside the store and took him outside, according to police.

The attempted kidnapping was thwarted when one of the child’s parents confronted the woman, prompting her to put the child down and flee on foot.

Police had been searching for the woman and sought the public’s help by showing photos of the woman on the LAPD’s social media accounts.

Her bail was set at $1.25 million, police said.
