Accessory dwelling units or ADUs have been popping up all over California. While many say that this can be a solution for the housing crisis, others disagree, arguing that they could do more harm than good.
“I know that communities like San Francisco and L.A., Palo Alto, and San Diego have all made significant complaints against the ADU policy. L.A. has severe parking problems, San Diego complains about privacy concerns, and I know the intent was to create more housing stock and affordable housing. It’s not creating more affordable housing,” said Don Harper.
