LONG BEACH, Calif.—Two people were taken into custody outside a Long Beach residence Sunday evening, May 5, after fleeing a black SUV that was pursued by police.

KCAL9 broadcast the chase, which began sometime around 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

The SUV came to a stop near Alpine and Carlin avenues, and the driver could be seen running a short distance before jumping a fence and entering a home through an open window.

By 7:45 p.m., the passenger was seen being handcuffed and put into a police vehicle.

Around 8 p.m., a person resembling the driver—without the shirt—exited the home and was taken into custody without further incident.

Both suspects were male, but their ages could not immediately be determined.

Holes could be seen in the rear window of the vehicle, but it was unclear if any gunshots had been fired in or out during the pursuit.

Details about the pursuit, and the actions that prompted it, were not immediately available.
