The U.S. beta launch is available via the Amazon Shopping app. The app features fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics, and other products, all backed by Amazon’s A-to-Z Guarantee.
Amazon said customers can expect delivery times of one to two weeks, and orders over $25 qualify for free delivery, with a fee of $3.99 for orders under $25.
Amazon Haul aims to compete with discount retailers like Shein and Temu, which have gained popularity by offering low-cost items directly to consumers. Many of the available products on Amazon Haul resemble items typically found on these platforms.
The new storefront has its own shopping experience, search, cart, and checkout, allowing customers to build up a “haul” of items at low prices.
Additional savings include 5 percent off orders of $50 or more and 10 percent off orders of $75 or more. The storefront can be accessed by searching “Haul” in the Amazon Shopping app or by visiting www.amazon.com/haul on a mobile device.
Items that are being sold on the website include a three-piece trimmer razor set for $2.99, colorful table runners for $2.99, an iPhone case for $1.79, and a pair of touchscreen winter gloves for $3.21.
For any item a customer chooses not to keep, Amazon offers free returns on all Amazon Haul purchases over $3 within 15 days of delivery.
Amazon said in their announcement that they screen the products sellers offer in Haul to ensure customers receive items that are safe, authentic, and compliant with applicable regulations.
“It’s early days for this experience, and we’ll continue to listen to customers as we refine and expand it in the weeks and months to come,” Mehta added.
Amazon Haul represents the e-commerce company’s latest effort to provide customers with more affordable options, even if some items take longer to arrive.
