Bradley is taking over for longtime head coach Joe Paterno who was fired on Wednesday.
Bradley is in his 12th season as defensive coordinator of the Nittany Lions and was in his 33rd season overall as a member of Paterno’s staff. The Penn State alum lettered in football in 1977-1978 and served as graduate assistant in ‘79 before becoming a full-time staff member the following season.
The first task for Bradley will not be an easy one. The first-time head coach must get his team focused and ready for a game Saturday against 19th-ranked Nebraska (7-2). The contest will be the final home game for a numbers of seniors on the team and the first in 46 years without Paterno in charge.
