A suspect has been taken into custody by the Boston Police Department after shots were fired at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

A deputy sheriff was shot in the leg in the process, as was the suspect. “Conditions unknown,” the department tweeted.

The suspect grabbed the sheriff’s gun then shot him in the leg, according to local broadcaster WHDH. They were both taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The shooting happened in mid-morning.

The police aren’t looking for any additional suspects in the shooting.
