Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton Contracts Coronavirus

Update March 17: Peter Dutton is now in quarantine at his Queensland home and his family has temporarily moved out after the federal minister was diagnosed with coronavirus and briefly hospitalised.

Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

Dutton said that after waking on Friday morning with a temperature and sore throat, he was tested for COVID-19. He was then told in the afternoon that the test had come back positive.

“I feel fine and will provide an update in due course,” he said in a statement.

Dutton recently returned from Washington where Five-Eyes countries have decided to collaborate with big tech companies to stop the online sexual abuse of children, The Epoch Times reported.
