Whether you're hoping to camouflage the TV or hide it altogether, there are a number of ways that you can hide the screen.

It’s hard to believe that this year marks the ten-year anniversary of YouTube.

Technology has come quite a way in the last ten years since YouTube first launched back in 2005. Thanks in part to YouTube, the ability to watch an internet-based movie or show on your TV isn’t considered unique anymore; it’s normal.

In honor of YouTube’s tenth birthday, let’s look at some fun and unique ways to display, (and hide!) TV’s, computers, and other screens in your home.

Living Room

There are a wide variety of TV stands that can help you to incorporate a screen into your living room, without it being the dominant feature in the room. Many TV stands now include options to hide your screen, cover it with artwork, or make it a dual-purpose feature. Like this media console and electric fireplace in one.

Bedroom

The ideas for a bedroom screen are almost limitless. If you enjoy watching TV before bed, but don’t appreciate the idea of the TV taking over the room, consider hiding it in a cabinet, or use a lift mount to retract the screen back into the floor, ceiling, wall, or cabinet when you’re done.

Kitchen

In the kitchen, you can incorporate a TV in a number of different ways. Consider mounting a screen on the wall to use as both a computer or a TV screen, allowing you to look up recipes, or follow the news while you cook. If you want to get high-tech, you could opt for a digital backsplash –a ’smart wall' located just about the countertop, that serves as a computer and TV, and also doubles as a decorative feature for displaying artwork or photos when it’s not in use.

How do you hide the screens in your home?
