Hardy Fred Harriss first picked up a hammer when he was 10 years old. The year was 1938, the time, before World War II even started.
Now 84 years old, he’s still works in his studio every day, giving a sturdy piece of iron life.
And he claims he will never retire. “I shall live tired, but I shall be not retired,” joked Mr. Harriss, who hopes to pass the craft on.
