Wonder Woman: Television station CW is redeveloping a show about Wonder Woman after the pilot didn’t make the cut in January.
“It’s being redeveloped. We don’t want to produce something that doesn’t do the franchise justice,” CW President Mark Pedowitz told MTV. “It’s the trickiest of all the DC characters.”
The project looks at the teenage years of the heroine who becomes Wonder Woman. The character, named Iris, according to the casting call “comes from a remote, secluded country and until now has spent most of her life as a soldier and a leader on the battlefield.”
Iris is, among other things, “completely inexperienced at interpersonal relationships.”
“She has no social filter, does not suffer fools, and tends to do and say exactly what’s on her mind at all times,” according to the casting call. “She’s bluntly, refreshingly honest.”
