A woman was shot to head after a man barricaded himself in a house in Lawrence, Mass., and exchanged fire with police on April 26. It is not clear who shot the woman.
Police surrounded the house on Melrose Street and later got out a 5-year-old girl, who was unharmed, according to Jill Harmacinski with the Eagle-Tribune. Harmacinski was at the scene live-tweeting.
When police entered the building, the gunman was found dead.

Both state and local police were on the scene with an armored vehicle and a K-9 unit.
