COTTONWOOD, Ariz.—Yavapai County authorities are searching for a 14-year-old boy and his mother who may have been kidnapped in Cottonwood.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies say the incident happened around 6 a.m. Friday.
Deputies believe an unknown male forced a woman in her 30s into a 2016 gray Dodge Charger that was reported stolen.
They say the woman’s teenage son was kidnapped during the confrontation.
They say a silver Dodge Neon with two other men was also involved.
According to sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn, investigators are working to identify all the suspects.
D'Evelyn says the primary suspect has a shotgun and is considered dangerous.
Authorities say the Charger has a broken driver’s side window and Florida license plate BPV4583.

They believe the suspects are in the Cottonwood or Camp Verde area.
