A Canadian couple lost their winning lottery ticket worth $50 million dollars. They were overjoyed when a good Samaritan found and returned it.
Hakeem Nosiru was only one day away from claiming his massive price, when his ticket went missing after attending church. Out of concern his ticket might get lost, he even had his wife, Abiola, duct tape it to the inside of her purse. Nevertheless, it still managed to vanish.
They searched for months, but no luck. She wrote to Toronto Sun, “I couldn’t sleep for days, I couldn’t eat. I was devastated.”
Then, on what was probably their best April Fools’ Day ever, the ticket was returned to the couple by a man who found it at the church.
The couple happily received their long-awaited winning, and offered this advice to other lottery winners, “Anybody who wins a ticket, please keep your ticket in the same place, and watch it all night.” That’s definitely sound advice.
The winning couple said they want to use the money to relax with their 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
