Former two-time Pro-Bowl receiver/returner Derrick Mason will retire from the NFL, according to a report on Rivals.com.
Mason, 37, played 15 seasons (1997–2011) in the NFL for four different teams after being chosen in the fourth round of the draft out of Michigan State by Tennessee.
Mason then spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Titans, recording four 1,000-receiving-yard seasons, being selected to a pair of Pro Bowls (2000, 2003), and being named First-Team All-Pro (2000) before moving on to Baltimore.
During his six seasons with Baltimore (2005-10), Mason totaled 5,777 yards receiving, including four more 1,000-receiving-yard seasons.
An adept punt returner as well, the soon-to-be 38-year-old was seventh among active players in punt return yards (1,590) and third in total returns (182).
