Let’s face it. Sea cucumber is not the most exciting name for an aquatic creature. Nonetheless, one of them recently caught on camera by NOAA explorers aboard the Okeanos Explorer manages to dazzle and mesmerize.

The underwater animal undulates and twists its way through the water, exposing not only its agility, but some rather stunning markings.

The purple stunner was spotted in the Marianas in the vicinity of the Fina Nagu Caldera.
