The Wimbledon Tennis Championships 2015 started on June 29 and will conclude on Sunday July 12.All the top seeds in the men’s singles are still progressing except the biggest shocks of Rafael Nadal losing to Dustin Brown of Germany and 5th seed Kei Nishikori who succumbed to Santiago Giraldo of Columbia in Round-2.
If all goes to seeding from here in, Semi-finals will be between Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka, and Andrew Murray against Roger Federer. But now at the last 16 stage, many others including Marin Cilic. Richard Gasquet. Thomas Berdych and Gilles Simon may have different ideas. There is also time for less well-known names to push to the fore.

Novak Djokovic after three straight set wins against Philip Kohlscheiber of Germany, Jarkko Nieminen of Finland and Bernard Tomic of Australia now plays Kevin Anderson of RSA in the 4th Round. Anderson is now probably feeling the heat after two 4-set matches although he took the match against Leonardo Mayer of Argentina 6/4/ 7/6, 6/3 in Round 3.
Hard server Marin Cilic of Croatia came through a 5-set, 3rd Round match against John Ishner of USA and will now meet another American, Denis Kudla in the 4th Round. Kudla also needed 5-sets to dispose of Santiago Giraldo of Columbia in the 3rd Round.
Stan Wawrinka who stunned Federer in Paris takes on David Goffin of Belgium in Round 4. Goffin took out Marcos Baghdatis in Round-3.
Richard Gasquet is currently quietly moving through the tournament with three straight set wins under his belt and now meets Nick Kyrgios of Australia in Round 4 who disposed on No.7 seed Milos Raonic of Canada in Round-3.
Canadian Vasek Pospisil of Canada beat James Ward of the UK in Round-3 to meet Viktor Troicki of Serbia in Round-4. Troicki beat Dustin Brown of Germany, the disposer of Nadal in Round-2.
Ivo Karlovic of Croatia beat Jo-Wilfred Tsonga of France in Round-3 will now meet No.3 seed Andy Murray of Great Britain in the last 16.
Thomas Berdych of Czech Republic will meet Gilles Simon of France who knocked out fellow countryman Gael Monfils in 5-sets in the 3rd Round.
Roger Federer will play Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain in Round-4 after cruising through his first 2-matches but dropping a set to Sam Groth of Australia in Round-3. Groth played particularly well to take the 3rd set 7/6 but then Federer made doubly sure in the 4th set taking it 6/2.
Women
Key casualties in the first three rounds of matches in the women’s singles are No.2 seed Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic and No.3 seed Simona Halep of Romania. Other well know stars already out of the tournament are Eugenie Bouchard of Canada lost to Yi Duan of China in Round 1. Sandra Lisicki of Germany lost in the 3rd round to Timea Bacsinsky of Switzerland, Ana Ivanovic was taken out by American B Mattek-Sands.
The top seeds left in are Serena Williams (1), Maria Sharapova (4), Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic (6), Caroline Wazniacki (5), Angelique Kerber of Germany (10).
No.1 seed Serena Williams cruised through her first two matches 6/4, 6/4 but was taken to a tie break third set by Heather Watson of the UK in the third round but came through to seal the match. She now faces her sister Venus who won her 3rd round match against Serbian Aleksandra Krunic 6/3, 6/2.
Victoria Azarenka of Belarus is through to the 4th round to take on Belinda Bencic of Switzerland. Ana Ivanovic was taken out by American B Mattek-Sands 6/3, 6/4 but then lost a close two tie-breaker sets to Bencic.
Maria Sharapova seeded 4, also in the top half of the draw will face Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan in the 4th round. Diyas knocked out Andrea Petkovic 7/5, 6/4 to progress to the 4th round.
Coco Vandeweghe of the USA beat Samantha Stosur of Australia and will now meet 6th seed Licie Safarova of Czech Republic.
In the bottom half of the draw, No.2 seed Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic was knocked out in the 3rd round by the experienced Jelena Jankovic 3/6, 7/5, 6/4 and will now take on Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the 4th round.
Madison Keys of the USA plays Olga Govortsova of Belarus. Alize Cornet of France lost to Govortsova in Round 2.
Sandra Lisicki of Germany lost out in the 3rd round to Timea Bacsinsky of Switzerland and Monica Niculescu of Roumania who beat Kristyna Pliskova of Czech Republic to set up her next match against Bacsinszky.
Caroline Wozniacki seeded 5, is through to play Garbine Muguruza of Spain who took out Angelique Kerber of Germany in three sets including a hard first tie breaker which finished 14:12 in the Spaniards favour. Despite losing the second set 6/1 Muguruza picked up her game to take the 3rd set 6/2.
