How about them Dallas Cowboys? The clock has been turned back, as Dallas is responsible for the best team in all of the National Football League. That is represented in NFL power rankings following the Cowboys going out west and earning the biggest win the franchise has achieved in years.

Week 7 NFL power rankings

32. Oakland Raiders (0-6): Good on the Raiders for making what could have been a blowout loss against San Diego an actual game. Derek Carr doesn’t look that bad these days.

31. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-6): A win is coming, Jacksonville fans. Perhaps they can beat a Cleveland team that is possibly flying a bit too high.

30. New York Jets (1-5): It’s only going to get worse for the Jets moving forward. That Thursday Night Football game at New England could be a debacle.

29. Washington Redskins (1-5): All of us who thought Kirk Cousins could be the answer at QB for Washington were wrong. Dead wrong.

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5): Tampa Bay will have surrendered another touchdown pass to Joe Flacco in the time it takes you to read this sentence.

27. Minnesota Vikings (2-4): The Teddy Bridgewater fans are silent these days. Minnesota’s offense was flat out terrible against the Lions.

26. St. Louis Rams (1-4): Austin Davis remains a work in progress, but he is flashing signs that he could be the future quarterback of the Rams. Stay tuned, Sam Bradford.

25. Tennessee Titans (2-4): Tennessee saved its season win a win after blowing that lead to Cleveland. The Titans remain on life support, but they aren’t completely lost.

24. Atlanta Falcons (2-4): Atlanta is maybe the most disappointing team in the NFL. The Falcons must turn things around quickly to avoid another disaster season.

23. Houston Texans (3-3): Thanks for making a Thursday Night Football game interesting, Houston. We all appreciate it.

22. New York Giants (3-3): Sunday night couldn’t have gone much worse for the Giants. Losing Victor Cruz for the season was injury to insult, and it’s a big reason New York plummets in updated NFL power rankings.

21. Miami Dolphins (2-3): The ‘Phins were seconds away from an upset win until Aaron Rodgers went all Aaron Rodgers. So close, yet so far.

20. Buffalo Bills (3-3): Of all the things to let Buffalo down against New England, it was the team’s defense. Buffalo isn’t there just yet.

19. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3): KC had an extra week to prepare for Philip Rivers and the Chargers. That may prove to not have been enough time.

18. New Orleans Saints (2-3): Drew Brees will try to begin a New Orleans turnaround against a Detroit defense that was dominant this past Sunday. The immovable force versus...

17. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3): It’s been years decades since Pittsburgh was blown out in Cleveland. That said, don’t count the Steelers out just yet.

16. Carolina Panthers (3-2-1): I guess Cam Newton is feeling just fine. The Panthers will make noise moving forward if Cam is back to his old self.

15. Chicago Bears (3-3): Typical Bears to earn a big road win just when people are counting them out. Chicago is not an easy out for opponents.

14. Cleveland Browns (3-2): Yes, the Browns deserve to leap up NFL power rankings after routing the hated Steelers. Quarterback talk aside, the Cleveland run game and its offensive line have been impressive.

13. Detroit Lions (4-2): The defense of the Lions will haunt the nightmares of Minnesota quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for weeks. That was an incredible performance.

12. Baltimore Ravens (4-2): Joe Flacco lit it up against Tampa Bay. The Ravens could be the best overall team in the AFC North.

11. Indianapolis Colts (4-2): It’s hard to judge a team coming off of a Thursday night game. The Colts will have a true test when they host the Bengals in Week 7.

10. Cincinnati Bengals (3-1-1): The big worry about the Bengals? Their defense has not played well in back-to-back games.

9. San Francisco 49ers (4-2): Stop disrespecting Colin Kaepernick, everybody. He’s very good.

8. Green Bay Packers (4-2): That Aaron Rodgers is something special. He will earn Most Valuable Player mentions if he leads Green Bay to a division title.

7. Seattle Seahawks (3-2): The Seahawks fall in NFL power rankings after losing at home. Maybe there is something to that supposed Super Bowl hangover.

6. Arizona Cardinals (4-1): The Cards can start just about whoever they want at quarterback. Just imagine if this team had Russell Wilson or Peyton Manning at QB.

5. New England Patriots (4-2): You angered Tom Brady, football world. You deserve whatever it is you are about to get.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (5-1): That was quite the beating Philly put on the Giants on Sunday night. Was that a one-off, or have the Eagles fixed their defense?

3. San Diego Chargers (5-1): Some are still sleeping on the Chargers a third of the way into the season. Don’t downgrade San Diego in NFL power rankings just because a rival team that isn’t all that good gave them a scare.

2. Denver Broncos (4-1): Peyton Manning may set the NFL record for most career passing touchdowns while being featured on prime time TV. It’s almost as if the league plans these things.

1. Dallas Cowboys (5-1): Yes, Dallas has done enough to leapfrog every other team and jump to the top of NFL power rankings. The Cowboys are the best team in the NFL. Your move, Internet.
