Tavish Smith of Brevard County, Florida was arrested on charges of DUI on June 13th after she was caught going the wrong direction on the highway and crashing her truck multiple times, according to local ABC 10 news.
After she was arrested, her truck was searched, where the trooper found a sandwich bag full of Marijuana.
Smith denied that the bag was hers, and even seemingly tried to flirt her way out of trouble as she reportedly giggled and called the trooper “handsome”.
Afterwards, when the trooper wasn’t looking, Smith slipped out of her handcuffs, grabbed the Marijuana bag from the front seat, and ate the evidence.
The act was fault on film, with footage shown above.
“Bags of weed just don’t go missing inside a police car,” said the trooper. “And I’ve got it all on video.”
The trooper first grew suspicious when he noticed that Smith’s hands were uncuffed and moving freely. Smith also reportedly left crumbs all over her hands and face, and combined with the empty marijuana bag, it wasn’t hard to decipher what had just happened.
With that, Smith’s misdemeanor for minor hit-and-run, DUI and drug possession was upgraded to a felony for eating the evidence.
