Wall Street Opens Higher With Focus on Earnings, Economic Data

Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Monday as investors awaited key economic data and major corporate earnings this week for clues on the U.S. economy, while also monitoring the conflict in the Middle East.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 162.13 points, or 0.48 percent, at the open to 33,832.42.

The S&P 500 opened higher by 14.59 points, or 0.34 percent, at 4,342.37, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 46.57 points, or 0.35 percent, to 13,453.81 at the opening bell.
