A dying woman’s Facebook post seeking a new home for her three dogs has gone viral.
Kathleen Zuidema of Friday Harbor, Washington posted the note on social media on March 5.
It has since received thousands of shares and comments.
“This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My heart is breaking and I’m sobbing as I write this,” Zuidema wrote.
“As alot of you know I have been fighting cancer for about a year and a half and things are now progressing to the point where I need to secure a home for the posse. They are a package deal. It is a huge thing to ask of one person but the thought of them being separated is more than l can bear.”
Zuidema said the person wanting the dogs should have a fenced-in yard, so the canines can have room to run around and play.
Autumn Moon, 11; Mona Luka, 4; and Finnegan, Mona Luka’s younger brother, 4, are the three dogs.
“They have always been with me 24/7. So someone who can be with them alot would be my wish. They are wonderful to be with the love they give and joy that they bring me every day has been unbelievable. So it’s a lot But I’m putting this out there to facebook land and see what happens,” Zuidema added.
She and a friend are currently vetting the offers that have poured in.
“They are bonded to me and I hope they will add hope and joy to someone else’s life because they’ve just been my life, my world, my joy,” she told Q13 Fox.
“I just want them to have a good home.”
