Said Head Coach Leslie Frazier, according to the Vikings website, “I had a chance to talk with both Christian and Donovan on Tuesday and just went through some of my thinking and why myself and the coaching staff came to this conclusion.”
The 34-year old McNabb had four touchdowns versus two interceptions through the first six games while completing 60.3 percent of his passes. His 82.9 quarterback rating was 19th best in the league among qualifiers.
“Donovan was terrific, he’s a class individual, as all of you know if you’ve had a chance to speak with him. A true pro in every sense of the word” said Frazier.
