President Trump called for the death penalty for the gunman and for more protections inside places of worship, after the deadly shooting in Pittsburgh that left 11 dead and 6 injured.

Four officers were also shot during the incident, sustaining non-fatal injuries.

“It’s a terrible thing what’s going on with hate in our country,” Trump said.

He also stated that the shooters in similar cases should receive the death penalty, and “they should pay the ultimate price.”

“If they had protection inside, the results would have been far better. If they had some kind of protection inside the temple, maybe it could have been a very much different situation,” Trump said. “They didn’t have protection. They had a maniac walk in and they didn’t have any protection.”

Police Block Migrant Caravan in Mexico

The caravan of mostly Central American migrants advancing through Mexico met a roadblock in the form of a line of Mexican police officers on a highway in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas on the morning of Oct. 27.

Police formed a line blocking the entire highway, preventing the caravan from advancing north.

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to close the U.S.-Mexico border and cut aid to Central America to try to stop the caravan of several thousand people. U.S. officials have said that up to 1,000 troops may be sent to the U.S. southern border to prevent the migrants from crossing.
