On Sept. 26, President Trump accused China of trying to interfere in the upcoming U.S. congressional elections because it opposes his tough trade policies.
“They do not want me or us to win because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade,” Trump said as he chaired the U.N. Security Council for the first time.
Trump added: “I don’t like it when they attack our farmers and I don’t like it when they put out false messages. But beside that, we learned that they are trying to meddle in our elections and we’re not going to let that happen just as we’re not going to let that happen with Russia.”

President Donald Trump charged that attorney Michael Avenatti was making false accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in a bid to seek attention, hours after Avenatti revealed a third woman making allegations against Kavanaugh.
“Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Sept. 26. “He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships - a total low-life!”

Melania Trump will head to four countries—Malawi, Kenya, Egypt, and Ghana—as part of her upcoming African tour.

This will be the First Lady’s first major solo international trip.

Russia Ups Ante in Arctic Arms Race With Supersonic Missile Deployment
The Russian military has deployed anti-ship missiles in the Arctic, in a sign that—if necessary—the nuclear power intends to protect its claims in the resource-rich region by force.
A video released by the country’s defense ministry on Sept. 26, showed multiple launches of supersonic P-800 Onyx missiles, which are part of Russia’s Bastion coastal defense complex.
The ministry said the launches were a part of tactical drills by the North Navy Fleet.
7-Year-Old Girl’s National Anthem Blows Crowd Away at the MLS Game
On Sept. 23, 7-year-old Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja performed the national anthem before a game between the L.A. Galaxy and the Seattle Sounders, which stunned the soccer enthusiasts attending the match.
The Galaxy announced that Malea had won the chance to sing the national anthem at the Sunday game on social media on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
In the video, the master of ceremonies introduced Malea Emma as a “tiny but mighty” performer at the Major League Soccer opening.
“I was thinking that I cannot do anything wrong because it’s a really special song to America,” Malea said.
