You won’t believe what this news anchor says about Kobe Bryant.
Pat Tomasulo, a Chicago morning news sports anchor, uploaded the video to his Facebook page. “I’m sorry, but sometimes this job makes me snap,” captioned the video.
In the brief video, the sportscaster rants about Bryant’s performance during the final game of his career. Lauded by many, Bryant scored 60 points against the Utah Jazz, rallying the trailing Los Angeles Lakers into a fourth quarter, comeback victory, 101-96.
Tomasulo, however, was not impressed.
“A documented [expletive] for 19 of his 20 NBA seasons takes 50 shots and gets the kind of Twitter adulation reserved for a war hero.”
“I could get the point guard from Lane Tech to chuck up 50 shots, and he could score 60.” Lane Tech is the largest high school in Chicag, and it seems Tomasulo is comparing Bryant’s last game performance to that of a high school student.
Since the video was posted on April 14, it has been shared over 1,000 times and viewed almost 140,000 times.
Additionally, Tomasulo complained of ESPN’s segments dedicated to comparing sports teams that existed 20 years apart. “It’s a stupid argument!” yelled the sports anchor.
His anchor colleague “loved” that someone else snapped besides herself.
Tomasulo’s rant concluded with: “Just shut up! Everybody just shut up!”
