Celebrity makeup artist Kayleen McAdams gives Twiggy’s long lash look a modern update in this step-by-step beauty tutorial.

Twiggy set herself apart in a modeling world with her two beauty signatures. She is knowen for her pixie cut and her extra long lashes. She deviced the technique herself and she used three pairs of false eyelashes on top and drew a black eyeliner on the bottom to give that define look.

In this video, Kayleen is going to teach us her secrets for updating Twiggy’s makeup look. Let’s start!

First, use light, nude cream eye shadow as a primer. Apply it over the whole lid and also little bit along in a inner corner as well. Use a sponge applicator to apply a white shimmery shadow over the whole lid.

Next, use an angled brush to apply black gel liner. It allows you to acheave the shape that you want. Apply ti also along the eye, just a little bit, to open it up more. Now apply shimmery grey eyeshadow to the bottom lash line. This time, try to avoid the water line as much as you can. Highlight the inner corner with white shadow and a white creamny pencil on the waterline, just along the bottom. Now it’s time to apply fasle eyelashes. To fill any gaps at the roots of the lashes, use a felt tip liner.

As you may noticed, Kayleen didn’t apply mascara on her own lashes before applying the false ones. Her trick is to use mascara afterwords, so that will really blend bothe types of lashes together. When doing your bottom eyelashes, turn your mascara vertically, to really paint each lash up and down.

Now you have it, a modern interpretation of Twiggy eye.
