A video shows a Fort Worth police officer apparently shooting pepper spray onto a group of bikers as they were driving down the highway.

The video was recorded by a biker who was filming the police officer as they passed him by on the highway. The bikers accused the officer of putting the lives of the bikers at risk.

His intent was to send somebody down, if not to cause a major accident with that spray.

“His intent was to send somebody down, if not to cause a major accident with that spray,” Chase Stone, who edited the video, told ABC 8. “When you put other people’s life in danger, it’s just uncalled for.”

Fort Worth police have launched an investigation of the incident, and said that the officer in the video has been taken off active patrol and is put on administrative duties until the investigation concludes.

The officer is a 6-year veteran of the police force.

Stone said that around 200 bikes were driving northbound on the U.S. 287 highway. Fort Worth police said that there were multiple complaints from callers about reckless driving on the highway, and videos purportedly show the bikers performing wheelies and coming in and out of traffic.
