Video: EgyptAir Flight Crew Seen Laughing and Posing With Hijacker

Updated:

A video has emerged of the EgyptAir flight crew laughing and posing with their hijacker, as well as taking the now famous “hijacker selfie” with one of the hostages.

EgyptAir Flight MS181 had been destined for Cairo from Alexandria before the hijacker forced the plane to redirect to Cyprus,  grounding the plane for hours in a tense stand-off.

I'm not sure why I did it, I just threw caution to the wind while trying to stay cheerful in the face of adversity.
Ben Innes, British hostage

Identified as 59-year-old Seif Eldin Mustafa, the hijacker wore a fake explosive belt and demanded the release of female inmates in Egyptian prisons in addition to demanding to speak to his estranged Cypriot wife—the mother of his four children.
