There’s nothing quite like cooking a good old romantic dinner for your Valentine. Or even doing something special for your significant other any day of the year, if you’re not a big fan of the Feb. 14 celebrations. In any case, here’s a tip on how to prepare a dish that’s fun, unusual, and possesses some romantic overtones---a heart-shaped hard-boiled egg.

The how-to video featured above uses part of a milk carton, three skewers, and two rubber bands to create the nutritious delight. The egg needs to be hard-boiled (submerged in cold water, heated to the point of boiling, taken off the stove, then left in the hot water for 10-12 minutes). Next, you peel the egg, but it still needs to be hot for the shaping to work. Then you put the egg on the folded carton (that will create the tip at the bottom of the egg) and fix the skewer on top of the egg, as seen in the video, to create the dip at the top. Refrigerate for one hour and voilà!

The video garnered over 14 million views, so this is not exactly a secret technique. It may still be a surprise though, for there’s a difference between seeing a video and actually making it.
