One of the problems with the proliferation of cameras—whether on your phone, in your pocket, or slung over your shoulder—is finding where to store the files after the shots are taken. This is even more so if you’re giving a collection of files to someone, since if they delete them by accident you may need to give them the files again and again.
Pexagon Technology hopes to have a solution to this, with the eternal Photo Flash Drive. The flash drives have a nice wood casing and come with either 8GB or 16GB of storage space.
These flash drives are a bit different from the crowd, however, since anything you save to them is then there forever (or as long as digital data lasts).
You can’t delete or alter files saved to these flash drives. Once they’re saved, they’re there for good. This “prevents lost pictures, accidental overwrites, corrupted files and viruses that have the potential to plague photographers and their clients,” states a press release.
Brian Campbell, president of the Connecticut-based company stated in a press release that the drives “will help preserve and protect those once in a lifetime moments.”
The 8GB drives sell for $46.99 and the 16GB drives go for $64.99.
